Attendance

Attendance is expected during all weeks of the semester (including the Add/Drop period). Poor attendance听may dramatically impact听grades; therefore,听students who miss a substantial number of classes may want to consider withdrawing from the course (deadline is the 10th week of the semester; see the Grading System section for more information). An instructor may assign an X grade for non-attendance by the eleventh week of the semester if a student fails to withdraw from a course by the 10th week of the semester. 听Also, depending on the听circumstance, a student听who has repeated absences should consider听speaking with their Department Chair and Academic Advisor about taking听Academic Leave (See the Academic Leave section).听
