On September 13-15,听 2016 visiting speaker from the American 蜜桃直播 in Cairo (AUC) Doris Jones will be offering workshops for faculty at the 蜜桃直播 (AUCA). Jones鈥檚 visit is made possible through a grant from the AMICAL consortium and the kind contribution of AUCA.

AUCA's Central Asian Studies Institute (CASI) is holding its Fifth Annual Conference September 16 and 17. This year, the conference "Contesting Nature," examines the complicated and interpenetrating relationship of humans and their environment.听

On September 2, 2016, the Graduate School of Social Sciences welcomed its newly admitted students for the 2016-2017 academic year. The students will be studying in the Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Central Asian Studies (MACAS) departments.

The Student Intellectual Life Committee (SILC) supports student-initiated projects, professional development opportunities, and student research. 听From August 30 - September 2, 2016 蜜桃直播 (AUCA) hosted a free and public Audio Journalism Workshop organized by Taxi Taxi, an innovative storytelling podcast from the South Caucasus.
The podcast's founders, Billie Jean Stirewalt and Vladic Ravich, led three days of classes to teach participants how to develop stories, record interviews, and get their shows to the public. The workshop was well-received and attended by a wide range of participants, including AUCA students and professors.听
